    Forum Description

Microslick is a Teflon-based coating from Cerakote that comes in both an air cure and oven cure version. It is designed to help with friction and shedding of oil, leaving your barrel easier to clean. Micro Slick can be applied to other products besides bolts and bolt carriers; it can be used on engine parts such as piston skirts, valve stems, cams, cranks, and the underside of valve covers. The max temperature rating for Micro Slick is 1200°F. Note, Micro Slick only comes in one color: black.

    MICRO SLICK C110

This air cure version is very similar to the oven bake version, with the biggest difference being the time it takes to cure. While the oven cure (P109) cures in an hour, the C110 takes 5 days to cure. Here is the down and dirty talking points:

    • C110 sprays on at 0.1 to 0.5 mil, making it an extremely thin coating
    • It takes approximately 60 minutes to be tack-free and dries in 24 hours
    • C110 is completely tacked out in 5 days
    • Shake the bottle, strain it into the spray gun, and spray
    • Be sure to use a 325-mesh strainer
    • There is no hardener to add
    • Spray one wet coat. Do not spray heavy!
    • You can return any unused product right back into the bottle
    • Spray at 20 PSI

    MICRO SLICK P109

    • P109 sprays on at 0.25 to 0.5 mil, also a very thin coating
    • Shake the bottle, strain it into the spray gun, and spray
    • Be sure to use a 325-mesh strainer
    • There is no hardener to add
    • Spray one wet coat. Do not spray heavy!
    • You can return any unused product right back into the bottle
    • Spray at 20 PSI
